Recently heard on LCG1 that USL is planning to roll out a Division 1 league. In think this is great and hope it's successful. Although having two separate D1 leagues is so silly and so soccer-in-the-States.

One of the questions posed was whether USL D1 would be a "threat" to MLS. Yes and no I suppose.  I just hope the competition between the two orgs gives us more great soccer in North America.

On whether one might support a L.A. area USL D1 club it was mentioned that the two wouldn't be playing eachother. What about U.S. Open Cup and Concacaf Champions Cup? Sides will have to be taken. Looking forward to L.A. Galaxy vs N.Y. Cosmos.

I really hope USL has learned the lessons of that last version of NASL.
